LIDAR

MDL Dynascan mobile LIDAR system is our newst aquisition. With 37000 points per second at a range of 150 meters and traveling up to 20kph we can cover greater distances with much more data than ever before. Suited for GIS and inventory asset management, stocks of quarried material is now more accuratley measured and in a shorter period of time. Measuring the volume from a blast site has never been easier, scanning the area pre-blast and post-blast to provide quick and accurate extraction volumes. Other useful implementation of the mobile LIDAR is to mount on a vessel for shoreline and dock surveys. The system can easily be mounted on an ATV to work the shoreline during low tide to measure rock wall and other engineered assets. Estuaries and flood plains shown as a 3D surface map with contours can be used to quickly assess for habitat regions and where valuable properties need to be protected.
